Long time no speak!

I have a confession. Well, an addition to an earlier confession. Well, two actually.

1. I can’t work Tumblr to save my life
2. I don’t know a lot of American comedians and I’m not willing to find out who they are.

I know, quite a shock to any fans of the blog. I recently realised that requests are just requests. I can choose to accept or reject them, and so I will. I know I said I’d do that Stateside Stumblr thing, but unfortunately some silly people messed me about with it, so that’s down the lav for now. Instead, I’m going to publicly answer all requests from now on if I won’t do them. So if I don’t answer you, please check the blog.

If I can’t do it, feel free to do it for yourself, and provided it meets my low standards I’ll reblog it. How’s that sound?

Yup. I need a partner.

I make no secret of the fact that I am a huge comedy fan. I am proud of it. The thing is, I live in the UK. I have basic Freeview (ie no comedy central etc) so my access to american comedy and other TV is seriously limited. I have stumbled through a couple of American comics that I knew, but now I’m getting messages about people I have literally never heard of, and guys I have college and needy friends and whiny teachers and I seriously do not have the time to research these people.

So, if you or someone you know vaguely knows what does and doesn’t work clothing wise and is into comedy that hails from the USA then please do the following:

1. Drop me an ask saying you’re interested. Introduce yourself and don’t be shy, I’ll answer privately.
2. Get yourself on polyvore and make me a set based on any comedian. (It’s free!) Make the title “Stateside Stumblr: *name of comedian* by *tumblr url*” - eg, minde would be “Stateside Stumblr: Paul Merton by comedypolyvore”
3. Submit your entry to the blog.

The bottom line is that I won’t update as frequently as I have been. I will keep the ask box open, but if you don’t get a reply for a few days, don’t get worried. I’m not dead, I’m just on a beach in France trying to avoid a tan and repeatedly asking why we didn’t go to Germany instead (which isn’t racist because I’m British and shitting on the French is our national sport).
